NAR Designations and Leadership in the Industry
She is an accredited professional for the USGBC (U. S. Green Building Council) in LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) consultant and instructor for a continuing education program called Forever Green Training & Sustainable Design; this program held seminars that teach the methodology of green building practices for future sales in the united states. Ms. Santoro was also an instructor at Pratt Institute in NYC and she also held seminars at several colleges in the tri-state area for CE (LU) for Registered Architects, Engineers Urban Planners, Real Estate Appraisers & Brokers. Ms. Santoro’s course called The Green Real Estate Guide to LEED® Certified Building & Sustainable Design was approved by the New York State education department. In conjunction with instructing several LEED courses, Ms. Santoro has also written several preparatory books that coordinate with the LEED® reference guides for the USGBC. These books include: The Green Building Design & Construction v3 &v4, and The Green Associate Plus for Real Estate Agents in NY & NJ.
Leadership in the community
Ms. Santoro is a native Long Beach Islander and understands the personal connection behind these homes. Ms. Santoro also has a personal vested interest in keeping the sold properties as high as the current market allows. She is also well versed in flood insurance and new codes as a result of experiencing superstorm Sandy in 2012.
